What is sublimation?

The sublimation printing process occurs when the sublimation ink goes from the solid state (ink on paper) to the gaseous state, managing to penetrate the product and permanently enduring in the material. I call it my own experiment. 

Sublimation is a printing technique that allows the application of ink directly on the product and achieve effects similar to none transferable print or silk screening. The products on which this technique is applied are special products, made of specific materials and that must have a special varnish/coating applied that allows sublimation.

You have probably never heard of the term "sublimation" because the process has been traditionally used to print logos and photos on T-shirts. But in recent years, sublimation has been extended to other uses, starting with decal stickers that are applied on walls and doors. Sublimation is the transfer of a image from an original source (usually paper) directly onto a receiver surface, or surface it is intended to decorate. This means that you no longer need an old photograph to buy a small frame or use glue and paste. 

Many people today are interested in T-shirts, especially when they have a particular print that makes them unique. However, many other products (such as posters, mugs and others) also allow you to use this type of print technology. Thanks to sublimation, you can enjoy very vibrant colors that last throughout the product's lifetime.

Disadvantage of Sublimation.

You can only print on white surfaces or light colors, taking into account that the color of the surface to be printed will affect the color in the result.

Not everything can be sublimated as indicated above. Although we do not invent them every day to make more items that can be sublimated. The surface to be sublimated, if it is textile, must contain a minimum of 70% polyester, if it is a ceramic, glass, etc. surface, it must have a polymer coating.
