Approx. 3 inches including hook | 2 mm American linden wood | Lightweight | Hypoallergenic bronze-tone hooks | Laser-cut & engraved | Hand-painted | Double-sided | Linseed oil finish
Boho Feather has the length of a statement earring, but not the weight you might expect from one.
I laser-cut each feather from 2 mm American linden wood, then engrave the fine lines that travel through the entire shape. Those etched details create the structure of the feather before any color is added.
Then I paint between them by hand.
Magenta, coral, golden yellow, and deep blue move through different sections of the design, while portions of the natural wood and dark laser-cut detail remain visible. I like that balance because the color doesn’t erase the material underneath—it works with it.
Up close, you can see where the engraved lines divide and guide the painted areas. From farther away, those small sections blend into a long, colorful feather with plenty of movement and personality.
The design continues on both sides.
With an earring this long, turning is part of wearing it. So instead of allowing the back to become the side you hope no one sees, I give it the same engraved and hand-painted treatment. When the feather swings or rotates, the design continues with it.
At approximately 3 inches including the hook, Boho Feather creates a noticeable vertical line without needing heavy materials to do it. The 2 mm American linden wood keeps the pair lightweight, making the longer silhouette much easier to wear than many statement earrings made from metal or heavier materials.
Hypoallergenic bronze-tone hooks provide a more comfortable option for ears that may be sensitive to some metals.
Once the painting is complete, I finish the wood with linseed oil to help protect the surface while keeping the engraved lines, natural grain, and handmade character visible.
What I like most about this pair is that it feels bold without feeling bulky. There is color, length, engraving, and movement—but the wood keeps everything grounded and surprisingly light.
Outfit idea: Pair them with a muted plum or soft aubergine top, faded black denim, and simple bronze-tone accessories. The deeper background lets the golden yellow, coral, blue, and magenta sections come forward without trying to match every color in the earrings. For a lighter look, try a soft sage blouse with warm stone trousers.
Natural wood grain, engraved marks, dark laser-cut edges, and small variations in the hand-painted finish are part of the handmade character of each pair. Colors may appear slightly different depending on lighting and screen settings.
